The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort appoints Nagi Mankarious as Resort Manager – Hotelier Maldives

Maldives’ Finest Address, The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort has announced the appointment of Nagi Mankarious as the new Resort Manager.

With over 20 years of international experience in luxury hospitality, Nagi has held leadership positions at some of the most prestigious hotels across Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Nagi’s passion for hospitality runs deep in the family traditions. It began back in 1998 in the kitchen of a family owned restaurant in London, UK before starting out his hospitality journey as a management trainee with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, where he spent 10 foundation years contributing to four successful pre-opening projects in the Middle East.

Between 2012 and 2014, he enhanced his academic skills with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the European University in Munich while building his hospitality stronghold and keeping his main cornerstone in Finance, Marketing and Strategic Management.

He then pursued his hospitality passion in Germany, managing the Food & Beverage in some of Europe’s most iconic hotels such as Atlantic Hotel in Hamburg, Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps, and Rocco Forte Hotel in Munich.

Nagi believes that the key success in the luxury hotel business is to deliver a memorable personalised journey to each and every guest in an exceptional high quality delivered by passion and sincerity.

Nagi joins the House of Astor from the esteemed Ritz Carlton Sharq Village & Spa in Doha, where he led the team to receiving numerous hotel awards and led an innovative football World Cup project with resounding success.

“We are elated to welcome Nagi Mankarious to our family as the new Resort Manager. His wealth of experience and leadership will undoubtedly enhance our commitment to delivering exceptional luxury experiences at the St Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort,” said Vincent Pauchon, General Manager, the St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort.

The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, which opened in November 2016, is nestled on a private island in a secluded Maldivian atoll, amidst thriving marine life. Just 40 minutes from Male by seaplane, guests are transported into a newfound paradise in the Dhaalu Atoll.

The resort draws inspiration from nature itself. Designed by WOW Architects | Warner Wong Design (Singapore), the unusual contemporary design of The St. Regis Maldives draws inspiration from the natural setting of the resort. This is represented by the manta ray shaped lagoon villas, a signature bar in the shape of a whale shark, a lobster-inspired spa and a spiral shell shaped library.

There are seven distinct dining venues, including two Asian specialty restaurants featuring Eastern haute cuisine and Japanese style Kaiseki cuisine, an international restaurant that offers dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, an underground wine cellar, a shack style restaurant, a signature overwater bar that rolls out stunning views of dramatic sunset, and a restaurant located inland amongst the tropical gardens featuring middle-eastern cuisine. Additionally, guests can also enjoy the Iridium Spa, which presents six overwater treatment rooms, including two that are dedicated to healing Ayurvedic treatments. Spa guests can also enjoy a Blue Hole pool, which contains heated seawater with different water jets – a system with proven benefits to the body.
